After making a brief appearance on Micromax’s official website yesterday, the Bolt A61 has finally been unveiled today. As expected the device is priced under 5k INR. The device is available at Micromax’s own e-store for 4,999 INR whereas popular reseller Infibeam is offering the device with a price tag of 4,989 INR.
Speaking of the device’s specifications, it comes with a 4-inch screen with a WVGA resolution of 800 x 480 pixels which accounts for a pixel density of 233ppi. The device is powered by a 1GHz Spreadtrum SC7710 processor, which has only one core. There will be 256MB of RAM alongside the single core processor, so you can expect the device to be laggy at times. The phone will have just 512MB on-board storage.
Imaging hardware on the device includes a 2MP main camera and a 0.3MP front-facing camera, which however, will find little use since the device does not offer 3G connectivity. Video calls will only be made on WiFi networks. Being quite a low cost phone, the device will come with just 512MB of ROM which means the use of a microSD card is inevitable, which the device will accept up to 32GB in capacity. The phone will come powered by a 1500mAh battery.
Connectivity set on the Micromax Bolt A61 includes WiFi, Dual SIM, microUSB, and 3.5mm jack apart from Bluetooth.
