Domestic Manufacturer iBall has expanded its portfolio of Andi series with the latest addition, iBall Andi 4.5 – K6 Priced at Rs. 7,395. iBall has listed several budget phones recently and iBall Andi 4.5 K6 seems a basic Android phone priced under 10k range and will compete against other recently launched devices in its league like Micromax Canvas Juice and Intex Aqua i4+.
The iBall Andi 4.5 – K6 is powered by 1.3 GHz Dual core processor. Though iBall has chosen to remain tightlipped on make of the processor but we expect it to be the MTK MT6572 chipset which can be seen all around in this price segment. The 1 GB RAM in this smartphone is definitely above average and will definitely provide you boost in performance. The onboard storage is 4 GB out of which 2 GB will be available at the users end.
The 4.5 inch display in this smartphone supports qHD (960 x540) resolution which is pretty good display. The pixel density of 245 pixels per inches will ensure sharp texts. For a slightly higher price you can get quad core devices like Xolo q700 with similar sized display.
The Primary camera is an 8 MP AF camera supported by LED Flash. Front VGA camera is also present for video calling. On the software front this phone will run on Android 4.2.2 jelly bean operating system. Some gesture features like Flip to mute and auto audio call recording are also part of the package.
The Battery capacity is 1600 mAh and iBall has not specified how much of talk time and standby time you can extract from this battery. The 1600 mAh is disappointing and a major limitation considering the competition. Connectivity features in this Dual SIM smartphone include 3G HSPA+, Bluetooth, GPS and WiFi. The phone also comes with pre installed apps like Facebook, WhatsApp and WeChat.
Overall the phone will suffice for basic usage and moderate gaming. The competition in the budget android segment is fierce and iBall has managed to put up a decent spec sheet at a competitive price.
