Lenovo ThinkPad 8 with 8.3 inch display, HDMI port and Quad Core Announced

Lenovo has launched it ThinkPad 8 tablet, based on Windows 8.1 operating system. The thin windows tablet has been designed for productivity and ships with Microsoft Office and various connectivity ports, targeting business users and student community.

The 8.3 inch display of this tablet sports 1920 x 1200 pixel resolution which is pretty good considering the screen size. The processor used is 2.4 GHz Intel’s Bay Trail Z3770 quad core processor along with 2 GB RAM. You will have the option for up to 128 GB of internal storage, but SD card support is also present.

Another feature which differentiates this tablet from the other 8 inch tablets is the HDMI port. You can connect this tablet to a bigger monitor and also attach other peripherals using the USB 3.0 port.

The primary camera is of 8 MP and is supported by LED flash for low light photography. The secondary camera of 2 MP is also present for video calling. The battery life is rated at 8 hours which is average considering other Windows tablets. The tablet is 8.8 mm thick and weighs less than a pound.

The Lenovo Thinkpad 8 seems very tempting with a power processor and a high resolution display. The tablet has been priced at $449 (~27,850 INR) and will be available starting from January end.
