Aircel has come up with an interesting ISD calling plans, Aircel ISD 54444, a prefix based calling plan for its customers which will allow them to make international calls to selected destinations at a subsidized price of only 1 p/ sec. Aircel claims this to be the first and only one in its class with no additional charges!

With an aim to establish Aircel as the preferred operator for international calling, we have introduced special plans to give our customers more value and low rates which will be enable them to stay connected with their family and friends living abroad. International calling is usually perceived as expensive so through our ISD plans we aim to break this myth by offering international calling at rates more affordable than local calling.”
The selected destinations include the top called locations including USA, Canada, Singapore, China and UK. Aircel subscribers will have to prefix “54444” before keying in the actual number to avail the subsidized price rates. The service will not be applicable while roaming.
The ISD Super pack will offer pay per second rate to destinations in America, Europe, Asia and Gulf countries for Rs. 18. The plan will be valid for 28 days. Till March 31st, 2014 all new Aircel subscribers will enjoy the benefits of ISD super tariffs pre-activated in the new plan for 90 days.
The subsidized calling rates will hugely benefit those involved in frequent ISD calling specially to the top called locations. The plan will definitely help Aircel grow its customer base in India
