HTC Desire 310 which earlier appeared on company’s official website in January now made an appearance on HTC’s China website with a slightly different body design. Our sources confirm that HTC will soon launch this MediaTek powered smartphone in India for a budget price range.
The HTC Desire 310 is equipped with a 4.5 inch IPS LCD display with FWVGA 854 X 480 pixel resolution amounting to 218 pixels per inches. The phone runs on Android 4.2 jelly bean operating system.
The 1.3 GHz quad core MT6582M processor coupled with 512 MB RAM and 4 GB internal storage, which is similar to what we have seen in budget Android range below 10k Mark. On the imaging front, you get a basic 5 MP camera at the back and VGA camera at the front . LED Flash support is also missing.
The battery capacity sounds good at 2000 mAh and connectivity features include 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 with aptX, GPS, MHL. HTC Desire 310 also supports Dual SIM functionality.
HTC is posting huge operating losses globally and this phone is an effort to gain some market share in the dirt cheep budget Android segment in emerging markets. The phone is expected to arrive in India very soon, perhaps next week. It will compete with phones like Intex Aqua i6, Gionee Pioneer P3 and iBall Andi 5k Sparkle.
