Samsung Galaxy S5 is now available for purchase in India for Rs. 45,500! Samsung promised April 11 availability for its new flagship phone at unpack 5 event at MWC 2014 at MWC 2014. The phone has appeared good one month earlier on online retailer Saholic which brazenly promises March 8 delivery or a price deduction of 50 INR every day.
The pricing is at par with what we have generally seen on Samsung flagships. The last flagship phone Samsung Galaxy S4 is now selling for approx 29,000 INR. The price is similar to 4G LTE variant of LG G2 which was announced yesterday.
The Spec sheet on Saholic lists Snapdragon 801 chipset with 4 cores clocked at 2.5 GHz but LTE is still missing from the spec sheet. We expected a 2.1 GHz Exynos 5422 variant to reach Indian shores, especially for the 3G variant.
The gorgeous Super AMOLED display is 5.2 inches in size and features full HD 1080p resolution. Other specifications include a 16 MP rear camera capable of 4K recording, 2 MP front facing camera, Android 4.4 KitKat, 2 GB RAM, 16 GB internal storage, USB 3.0 and 2800 mAh battery. The Galaxy S5 is IP67 certified and sports a finger print sensor and heart rate sensor. For full inside check out our Hands on review of Samsung Galaxy S5 at MWC 2014.
