ZTE aren’t particularly known for their smartphones, but the Chinese manufacturer is starting to step on the gas on the concerned front. Not long back, the company came up with the Nubia series of flagship devices, which it hopes to expand with the upcoming ZTE Nubia X6.
Last year, the company unveiled quite a few devices in this range, many of which turned out to be quite popular. Among these was the ZTE Nubia Z5 mini, which was seen as a serious threat by many an international manufacturer. The device provided flagship specs with great flexibility on the connectivity front at a very affordable price.
Coming back to the Nubia X6, ZTE just released a teaser for the same a few hours back. Among other things, the teaser hints to a display that might feature a retina-shredding Quad-HD 1440 x 2560 pixel display, often abbreviated to 2K.
As you would expect, the device will have a large screen to go with the very high resolution. It is expected of the X6 to feature a 6-inch display, which would put it in line with the Vivo Xplay 3S which was the world’s first 2K display phone. On the processing front, the Nubia X6 is reportedly going to pack a 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon SoC along with 2 gigs of RAM. Imaging hardware is expected to consist a 13MP main shooter and an HD front-snapper.
To stay on top of the competition, ZTE might even pack 4G LTE into the Nubia X6 package. There’s no official word on this, but we shall know soon when the company officially takes the veil off the device later this month.
