Oppo mobiles, the world renowned Chinese manufacturer will soon launch OPPO R1 R829 in India. OPPO recently started its operations in India and to most people its pricing policy doesn’t seem that well matched according to Indian market.
At OPPO N1 launch event, OPPO mentioned that it will launch OPPO R1 in India sometime in April for a price north of 25,000 INR. According to our source, the phone has already arrived in India and is expected to hit the shelves by sometime next week.
The OPPO R1 will feature 5 inch supersensitive IPS LCD display with 720p HD resolution and will be powered by 1.3 GHz MT6582 quad core chipset found in budget android phones. The humble quad core processor is backed by 1 GB RAM and Mali 400 GPU. Internal storage is non expandable 16 GB.
Other features include 8 MP camera at the back, 5 MP front shooter, 2410 mAh battery, Android 4.2 based Color OS and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. For further insight, you can read our OPPO R1 Hands On review.
OPPO R1 is definitely one of the best MT6582 devices that we have seen so far, but is magnificently overpriced. The OPPO R1 is expected to officially reach retail stores sometime later next week.
