Camera and Internal Storage

As mentioned above, the Xperia T2 Ultra includes an impressive imaging unit comprising of a 13 MP Exmor RS for mobile image sensor, HDR, image stabilization and support to 1080p video recording. Also, there is a 1.1 MP front facing camera in the unit with 720p video capture.

The internal storage of Xperia T2 Ultra is 8 GB, which can further be expanded up to 32 GB using a micro SD card. This should be sufficient for the smartphone to store all the necessary content without any hassle.

Processor and Battery

The Xperia T2 Ultra receives a quad-core 1.4 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, which should be sufficient to deliver average performance in regular tasks without causing any hurdles and consuming too much power.

Under the hood, there is a 3,000 mAh battery which has been rated to provide 10 hours of video playback, 93 hours of music play, 1046 hours of standby time and 24 hours of talk time. These figures are quite impressive for a smartphone. Also, the battery life is enhanced by the Sony’s Battery Stamina mode that saves the power by deactivating the services such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and others.

Display and Features

The 6 inch TRILUMINOS Display of Xperia T2 Ultra packs a resolution of 1280×720 pixels, which is far below the FHD 1080p resolution in the high-end smartphones these days. It features Mobile Bravia Engine 2 on top of the IPS panel that will pave way for excellent viewing angles and accurate color reproduction.

It runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean with the possibility to get further upgrades to the v4.4 KitKat in future. In addition, the Xperia T2 Ultra features a mere 1 GB RAM, which is too low as 2 GB RAM has started arriving in the mid-range segment.

Looks and Connectivity

The Xperia T2 Ultra is a best device to prove the Sony craftsmanship as it is lightweight and carries a slim profile. Also, the device is pretty comfortable for one handed operation owing to its easy to handle design.

The handset comes with connectivity features such as 3G, Wi-Fi, DLNA, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Wi-Fi Direct, DLNA, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC and LTE that is common in today’s smartphones.

Comparison

The Xperia T2 Ultra will be competing head to head with devices such as Micromax Canvas Knight, Intex Aqua Octa, Moto X, Nokia Lumia 1320 and others considering its price range.
