Xolo has now announced Xolo Q2500, a six inch “PocketPad” priced at 14,999. There are not many 6 inch phablets available in this price range and this new offering will primary compete with another MT6582 rival, Micromax Canvas Xl.
The 6 inch display sports 1280 X 720 p HD resolution and that’s the best you could hope for due to limitations of MT6582 chipset, which is ubiquitous these days and has replaced MT6589 series quad core from MediaTek.
The 1.3 GHz quad core chipset based on Cortex A7 architecture also houses 1 GB RAM, Mali 400 MP2 ticking at 500 MHz and standard 4 GB internal storage. MicroSD card slot is also available for expansion up to 32 GB.
On the Imaging front, you get an 8 MP Camera with BSI sensor capable of 1080p video recording. At the front a 2 MP camera is also present for video calling. The software is Android 4.2 and is up-gradable to Android 4.4 KitKat.
Like always, Xolo has provided with dual SIM dual standby and the 8.9 mm thick casing covers a 3000 mAh battery which should last about one day of average usage. Connectivity features include 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS and USB OTG.
Xolo will provide a free flip cover and OTG Cable with this phone similar to other Xolo phablets. If you are looking for strict 6 inch phablet below 15K range, this phablet is worth considering. You could also go for 5.5 inch Xolo Q2000 launched few months back.
