Lenovo has further extended its portfolio with the launch of Lenovo A526 in India. Lenovo A526 features a 1.3 GHz quad core processor and has been priced at 9,499 INR, which explains why Lenovo is calling it one of the most affordable smartphones.

However, today there is an influx of devices specifically targeted at this untapped segment in fast-growing markets like India. With the Lenovo A series range, we are looking at revolutionizing the concept of budget phones in India by offering consumers a superior smartphone experience at an affordable price point,” said Mr. Sudhin Mathur, Director-Smartphones, Lenovo India.
The display is 4.5 inches in size and bears only 480 x 800 WVGA pixel resolution. Lenovo A526 runs on Android 4.2 jelly bean operating system, which will provide you with decent Android experience in this price range.
Basic imaging hardware includes a 5 MP camera at the rear and a VGA front camera. Their is no LED flash support. 1.3 GHz quad core MT6582M chipset is backed by 1 GB RAM and 4 GB internal storage. MicroSD support is also present for up to 32 GB.
11.1 mm thick body houses a 2000 mAh battery which is above average in this price range. Connectivity features include 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS.
Preinstalled apps include Lenovo DOit apps for seamless data sharing, security and syncing. Lenovo A526 comes in Blue color and will be available for purchase starting from Aprid 5 for Rs. 9,499. It will compete against phones like Gionee M2 and Micromax Canvas Power.
