Nokia presented dual SIM Nokia Lumia 630 at the Windows Phone 8.1 preview in India today in New Delhi. At the event, we got to know that Nokia will launch Nokia Lumia 630 in India as early as in first week of May! This will be the first taste of Windows Phone 8.1 which consumers will get to relish in India.
The new Nokia Handset comes with a 4.5 inch ClearBlack IPS LCD display with FWVGA 854 X 480 pixels which is not much but will be usable on a 4.5 inch display. The display will be further protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3, which makes it extremely resistant to abuse. This is the first time that we are seeing virtual keys on Lumia phone and that also been further reduction in screen size.
Lumia 630 with Smart Dual SIM is powered with 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 400 chipset with Cortex A7 based cores and 512 MB RAM. Internal storage is 8 GB and can be further expanded by another 128 GB using MicroSD support.
The 5 MP camera is the same one which we have seen in Lumia Phones like Nokia 525 and does not enjoy LED flash support. There is no front camera either in this smartphone. The battery capacity is 1830 mAh and Nokia claims 600 hours of standby time and 13 hours of 3G talk time.
3G can be accessed only via SIM 1. Microsoft is giving more and more importance to Indian market and also announced Micromax as hardware partner for Windows Phone 8.1.
