Nikon D3300 and D4S DSLR Cameras in India

Nikon has announced a couple of new DSLR cameras in India – Nikon D3300 and D4S respectively. These new camera models bring innovation to both the evolution of cameras and the photo imaging culture. Thereby, Nikon is consistently trying hard to push across the frontiers of professional imaging speed, features and quality.

The Nikon D3300 features a 24.2 MP DX-Format CMOS sensor sans an optical low pass filter and the latest EXPEED 4 image processing system. There is a AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55 mm f3/5-5.6G VRII lens. The highlight is that this is the first of its kind lens meant for the Nikon SLR cameras that provides a retractable lens mechanism. This camera also provides support to record FHD videos of 1080p resolution at a frame rate of 60fps.

The D3300 possesses 13 special effect modes, new optical design and lighter weight. There is a guide mode that will assist users in enhancing their photography skills and also allows users to employ the WU-1a Wireless Mobile Adapter to control the shutter and transfer the images to other devices such as tablets and smartphones wirelessly.

Talking of Nikon D4S, the full frame camera comes with a 16.2 MP FX-Format CMOS as the D35. It is incorporated with the Expeed 4 image processing engine with an ISO range of 100 to 25,600. Also, there is dynamic area AF, single point AF, group area AF and auto area AF. As per the company statement, the Nikon D4S delivers smooth and fast auto-focusing besides enabling them to shoot with AF and AE tracking at 11fps frame rate.


When it comes to pricing, the Nikon D4S is priced at Rs 419,950, while the Nikon D3300  is available in two different configurations. The Nikon D3300 with D-ZOOM KIT (AF-S 18-55mm VRII + AF-S 55-200mm VR Kit Lenses) is priced at Rs 46,950 and the variant with AF-S 18-55mm VRII Kit costs Rs 37,950. The body of Nikon D3300 alone is priced at Rs 32,450.
