Display and Processor

The Lenovo S660 flaunts a 4.7 inch IPS LCD capacitive touch screen display boasting a qHD resolution of 960×540 pixels that translates to a pixel density of 234 pixels per inch. Moto G on the other hand includes a smaller 4.5 inch IPS LCD capacitive touch screen display that carries HD resolution of 1280×720 pixels and a better pixel density of 326 pixels per inch. Furthermore, the Moto G display features Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection to prevent the display from scratches and damage. Being IPS panels, both the displays can deliver decent viewing angles and good color reproduction. However, carrying increased pixel density, the Moto G is the winner in the display segment.

When it comes to hardware, the Lenovo S660 is equipped with a 1.3 GHz MediaTek MT6582M quad-core processor coupled with Mali 400 MP2 GPU and 1 GB of RAM. In comparison, Moto G is stuffed with a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor that is supplemented by Adreno 305 GPU and 1 GB of RAM. Hence, both the smartphones can handle good levels of multi-tasking and smooth performance.

Camera and Internal Storage

In the imaging segment, the Lenovo offering features an 8 MP primary camera teamed up with auto focus and LED flash, whereas Moto G includes a 5 MP rear camera with auto focus and LED flash. As far as front camera is concerned, the Motorola phone wins with a 1.3 MP camera sensor while there is a VGA front-facer on the Lenovo S660.

To meet the storage needs, the Lenovo S660 packs 8 GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 32 GB with the help of a micro SD card. In comparison, the Moto G comes in two configurations – 8 GB and 16 GB of internal storage that cannot be expanded as there is no expansion slot on the device. Though Moto G has a 16 GB variant, the lack of a micro SD card slot is annoying.

Battery and Features

Lenovo S660 is backed by a 3,000 mAh battery claimed to deliver 10 hours of talk time of 2G and 7 hours of talk time of 3G. But, Moto G with its 2,070 mAh battery can last for up to 24 hours of talk time, which is impressive.

On the software front, Lenovo S660 is fueled by Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system, whereas the Moto G units have started arriving with Android 4.4.2 KitKat, the latest iteration of the platform.

For connectivity, both the smartphones have a host of features such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP, 3G and micro USB 2.0 along with dual SIM support.
