ZTE Star 1 Goes Official with Android KitKat and 2 GB RAM

ZTE Star 1 has been circulating in rumors and leaks for quite sometime and now, the handset has become official as the company launched it in Seoul on Thursday. This handset is for those consumers who want to experience high-end features as in the Grand S2 without burning a hole in their pocket.

Detailing on the specifications, the ZTE Star 1 comes fitted with a 5 inch Full HD display carrying a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels that translates to a pixel density of 441 pixels per inch. Under the hood is a mid-range Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor clocked at 1.6 GHz.

The handset packs 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB or 32 GB of internal storage, but there is no official word on the expandable storage support. For imaging, there is an 8 MP rear camera teamed up with dual LED flash and a 5 MP front-facing shooter for video calling. Fueled by Android 4.4.2 KitKat, the ZTE Star 1 has a 2,300 mAh battery with enough juice to deliver a decent backup.

Other highlights of this smartphone include 4G LTE support that is clubbed with other connectivity aspects such as Bluetooth 4.0, Infrared remote control, DLNA and USB OTG at such a reasonable price tag.


Well, ZTE has priced the Star 1 boasting top-tier specifications at 1,399 yuan (approx. Rs 13,500) for 16 GB and 1,599 yuan (approx. Rs 15,500) for 32 GB respectively.
