Build Quality, Design and Form Factor

It has a premium finish of brushed metal like plastic which makes it looks really premium and its very good quality of material as during my review, I accidentally dropped it couple of times. Design wise it looks quite different from the existing phablets out there with similar configuration. Its weigh around 145 grams which makes it really portable and easy to carry and it quite at 7.9 mm which makes it easy to keep in your pocket at times, the bezels are also quite thin which gives it a better display ratio.

Camera Performance

The rear camera is 13mp both day light and low light shots looked great on this one, you can see the camera samples below. The front camera is also good for selfie as it is a 5 MP fixed focus camera and it can do a good quality of the video chat.

Display, Memory and Battery Backup

It has IPS LCD display with full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 which has great viewing angles and crisp text, the display is good and has good color reproduction levels. The in built memory of the phone is 16Gb out of which around 10 Gb is user available and you do not have the option to install apps on SD card as it does not support the same. The battery backup from 3000 mAh battery on this phone is good, it can give you around 1 day or more backup with moderate usage, the key to get more battery on this phone it use the display at less or automatic brightness levels.

Software, Benchmarks and Gaming

The software has a custom UI layer designed by lenovo which runs over android, this UI has a lot of other options which allows you to change the color them and icons and can be very refreshing for you if you get bored of the stock android UI. The UI is responsive but may be slightly laggy if you run too much apps and heavy games all at the same time. It has good hardware config which make it fast enough and pretty good performer in the gaming department.

Benchmark Scores

  • Antutu Benchmark: 35408
  • Nenamark2:  60 fps
  • Multi Touch:  10 point

Sound, Video and Navigation

The sound which comes out from the loudspeaker is loud and clear and earpiece on the phone also works well. It can play HD video without any audio or video sync issues. The navigation works fine as well as it has magnetic field sensor as well for better precise navigation, google maps runs smoothly and make navigation very easy to be used on this device.

  • Build Quality

What We Did Not Liked

  • Limited storage
  • High Price

Conclusion and Price

Lenovo Vibe Z is right now available at the time of writing this review for Rs. 30,000 approx which is a decent price for the hardware you get but lots of apps on this phone from lenovo makes some users very unhappy as the UI is not that fast but saying all this, its decent device and great hardware on a smartphone for day to day usage and heavy gaming is fun but can be limited with fixed internal storage.
