Gionee CTRL V5 with Quad Core on Sale for 12,999 INR, Official Launch Imminent

Within days after the announcement that the Chinese tech manufacturer Gionee will be opening 750 service centers across India, the firm has launched a new smartphone – CTRL V5 that is available from the official Gionee India eStore for a price of Rs 12,999. Spotted initially by MakTechBlog, the Gionee CTRL V5 appears to be the successor of CTRL V4 that was launched in June 2013 and it is expected to be launched officially next month.

As far as the specifications are concerned, the Gionee CTRL V5 is said to sport a 4.7 inch qHD capacitive touch screen display that carries a resolution of 960×540 pixels and come with dual SIM card slots like any other low-end and mid-range phones. It includes a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor coupled with Mali 400 GPU and 1 GB of RAM.

The handset includes an 8 MP primary rear camera that is paired with auto focus and LED flash and a 2 MP front-facing snapper to assist in video calling. There is 8 GB of onboard storage capacity in the phone that can be extended further up to 32 GB using a micro SD card. The phone draws its energy from a 1,800 mAh battery and has connectivity aspects such as 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS.

As per the listing, the Gionee CTRL V5 will come in White and Black color variants and carry a budget price tag of Rs 12,999.
