As the low-end and mid-range market segments are obsessed with a plethora of offerings from different manufacturers, Huawei has announced couple of phones namely, Ascend G730 and Ascend Y600 respectively. These handsets are priced at Rs 13,999 and Rs 8,999 in order to offer a stiff competition to their competitors. Both are dual SIM phones running on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and they are listed on the official website of Huawei.
Coming to the Ascend G730 that was launched at the Mobile World Congress 2014, there is a 5.5 inch qHD IPS display that boasts a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels. A 1.3 GHz quad-core processor along with 1 GB of RAM powers the phone and packs 4 GB of internal memory that can be expanded up to 32 GB via a micro SD card.
For imaging, the Ascend G730 uses a 5 MP primary camera with LED flash at its back and there is a VGA front-facing camera for video calls. Connectivity is handled by 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS and a 2,300 mAh battery delivers energy to the handset.
On the other hand, the Ascend Y600 features a 5 inch FWVGA capacitive touch screen display with a resolution of 854 x 480 pixels and is equipped with a dual-core MediaTek MT6572 processor ticking at 1.3 GHz alongside 512 MB of RAM. A 2,100 mAh battery powers the phone delivering enough juice to it. Other aspects such as camera and storage features are identical as the Ascend G730.
As of now, these smartphones are listed on the company website they are expected to go on sale soon.
