As the budget smartphone market segment has a herd of offerings, if you are hunting for such an entry-level phone, you will be spoilt with choice. Adding to this fleet of already existing smartphones, leading India based vendor Micromax is all geared up to announce yet another phone dubbed Bolt A69.
Micromax has quietly listed this phone on their official website, but the details pertaining to its pricing and availability are not revealed. Also, the entry-level phone has been listed on online retailer eBay for sale bearing a tempting price tag of Rs 6,599.
From the listing on the e-commerce portal, the Micromax Bolt A69 is said to arrive with a 4.5 inch WVGA display boasting a screen resolution of 480 x 854 pixels and to be stuffed with a dual-core processor ticking at 1 GHz coupled with a low 512 MB of RAM. The bolt A69 will feature 4 GB of internal storage space that can be expanded up to 32 GB using a micro SD card and run on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS.
Imaging is said to be handled by a 5 MP camera at the back with LED flash and front-facing VGA camera for making basic video calls. Furthermore, the dual SIM smartphone will be powered by a 1,800 mAh battery that is rated to provide up to 7 hours of talk time and up to 350 hours of standby time.
So far Micromax has managed to be the best native manufacturer in terms of quality of devices and sales volume. But, with the increase in competition from the other native handset manufacturers and Chinese vendors, the company is to definitely rely on the low cost market segment so that it can grab the attention of consumers who are having tight budget as well.
