Users Facing Several Issues after Xolo Q1000 Opus Android 4.4 KitKat Update

Xolo Q1000 Opus became one of the first smartphone to receive KitKat update yesterday, but unfortunately, the update is loaded with bugs. We have received several customers complaining about a handful of things that got unhinged with the new update.

Almost all complaints include WiFi Chaos. Most users couldn’t turn on their WiFi or WiFi hotspot after the update. People are also facing problems regarding WiFi signal dropping.

Other common issues include erratic notifications and excessive lag. People also complained about their smartphone hanging again and again. The Screen brightness also abruptly changes even on manual mode.

Some users also complain about signal dropping on both SIM cards and the phone being stuck at boot screen. Xolo Q1000 Opus has received several firmware updates in the past to fix camera and other issues and we can expect the company to roll out fixes for these issues quite soon.

If you own a Xolo Q1000 Opus, it’s not the right time to say hello to KitKat yet. If you have already done so, it would be wiser to wait for the next update to fix these issues or go to Xolo Care to Flash Android 4.2.2 on your phone.  Though its commendable that domestic manufacturers are striving for KitKat update, but such issues scream of improper testing, which is inexcusable. We hope Xolo Comes out with quick fixes and plugs loop holes in its update protocol.

  2. Good news guys … Xolo has come out with a new update which solved my wifi problems and also the brightness problem … The update is of approx 16 mb its an OTA which means u will have to download it ..so … Go get it guys .. 😀


  3. My Phone didn’t start after installing update for kitkat. I can not apply factory reset or other stuff because xolo secure is enabled and these functions are blocked. I can see only logo on the screen.

    Got the patch for Xolo Opus Q1000 wifi issue today on Xolo Care online. My wifi is running well and fine now. Happy!!!


  5. after update kitkat im facing some issue like automatically adjust brightness…front camera didn’t work…..n my phone getting slow…… now im realise this update is disgrade…;-( plzz help me..


  6. All previous problems seems to have been solved

    but do u face any issue with front cam?
    there are lots of vertical colorfull lines that are produced during preview and after taking pics


  7. Go to settings, then About phone, and software update and then download the update to ur phone … Now let the phone update … And voila !! The wifi’s working …


  8. I had issues with signal dropping even when on phone it shows full signal! If I tried to call it didn’t connect and if others call my phone is unreachable…however the signal is still full! Wifi – 2g connectivity was not affected. Just recieved an OTA patch which will hopefully work. I really liked this phone and the only issue which i faced was signal dropping after kitkat upgrade.


  9. After updating phone hangs, sim 1 network drop and front cam is not working. Simply waste of money. If ur thinking to buy this phone, u go for Nokia 206 which has 1.3mp camera and it s better to compare to xolo opus

  11. thanks for the update. I dont know who is the owner of xolo but xolo is a third class company. Since the day I was fooled by the dealer to buy this handset my trouble started . first my phone went to xolo support centre for 1 month no update and issue was never fixed and now there is display issue . Ghatia mobile ghatia compamy . dont buy any handset from xolo even if it is cheap .
