Lenovo Confirms Android KitKat Update for Vibe Lineup, Slashes Price of Vibe X

Lenovo India has confirmed that the firm will be rolling out the latest iteration of Android – v4.4.2 KitKat for its Vibe lineup of smartphones such as Vibe X and Vibe Z. Besides confirming the update, the vendor has also slashed the price of the Vibe X from Rs 25,999 to Rs 22,999.

On receiving the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update, the Lenovo Vibe X will be getting better app compatibility with bug fixes and security enhancements. Also, the user interface will be refereed with few icons and an all new incoming call interface. It is claimed that the camera features will be enhanced with more efficient white balance and auto focus and the battery life will be increased with improvements in the Lenovo Power Manager.

When it comes to the Vibe Z, the handset is claimed to receive better 4K video playback and boasted processor performance with improved UI transitions. It is also claimed that it will be easier to add widgets to the home screen and feature the better Multi-Window mode that allows to user multiple apps simultaneously. The handset is slated to receive better notification access, new theme center, cloud-printing support and auto profile changer.

Lenovo will be rolling out the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update in phases within the end of this month.
