Google+ for Android Receives Major Update Adding Auto Awesome Stories

Earlier this week, Google rolled out an update to Gmail for Android wherein it adds new features such as Save to Drive and other noticeable aspects. Now, the search engine giant has updated the Google+ for Android with a revamped user interface and various new feature additions.

One of the features added to the social networking app helps users to organize and manage their vacation photos. This feature is dubbed Auto Awesome Stories and it clubs both photos and videos and creates a photo album. This feature actually collects the data from the geo-tags on the photos such as location history, landmark detection and other photo analysis aspects to make the different slides of the Stories.
Apart from this, the Auto Awesome Movies is available on iOS and web and this feature allows users to mix both photos and videos to create fun highlights. Users can also add transitions, effects and soundtrack and the feature will be integrated into both the web and mobile variants of Google+.

As per Google, the Stories are available within a day’s time of their production and they can be shared to anyone publicly. Also, these Stories can be edited with additional information such as photos and captions and there are options to add bigger photo libraries.

Users of Google+ can also create photobooth style images and animated GIFs directly from the Android app with the latest feature additions such as Motion and Mix that are available in the Photos section. There is also an option to track the total number of views on Android and Web.

Ever since Google+ was launched, the social network is facing a tough rivalry with the others like Facebook and Twitter. Only by adding such innovative features, Google can actually enhance its user base. Earlier, Google+ launched new photo editing features, snapseed-inspired tools, filters and more.
