Earlier this month, Chinese smartphone manufacturer Huawei was in the tech headlines for the release of the Honor 3C. Now, the vendor has again made news with the launch of the Honor 3X Pro along with the 4G variant of the Honor 3C. While the former is the successor of Honor 3X that was launched in India as the Ascend G750 and the latter is the sequel to the Honor 3C released in the country for Rs 14,999.
Talking about the specifications, the Honor 3X Pro flaunts a large 5.5 inch FHD IPS LTPS display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Under the hood, the handset houses a 1.7 GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6592 chipset teamed up with Mali450-MP4 graphics unit and 2 GB of RAM for good levels of multi-tasking.
Fueled by Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system layered with the Emotion UI 2.0, the handset packs a 13 MP primary snapper with LED flash and Sony BSI sensor and a 5 MP front-facer with 22 mm wide angle lens. To handle the storage requirements, there is 16 GB of internal storage that can also be expanded up to 32 GB with the help of a micro SD card. Other goodies onboard include Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, dual SIM functionality and a 3,000 mAh battery.
On the other hand, the Honor 3C 4G is said to include a 5 inch HD LTPS display with HD resolution of 1280×720 pixels and a quad-core Kirin 910 processor clocked at 1.6 GHz paired with Mali-450 GPU. Fueled by Android 4.4 KitKat platform topped with Emotion UI 2.3, the handset comes in two variants – 8 GB of native storage with 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB of onboard storage with 2 GB of RAM. Furthermore, there is an external micro SD card slot supporting additional storage as well.
For imaging, there is an 8 MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5 MP front-facing snapper and connectivity features such as 4G, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. Also under its hood is a 2,300 mAh battery that can pump a decent backup to the handset.
On the pricing front, the Huawei Honor 3X Pro is priced at RMB 1698 (approx. Rs 16,000) and the Honor 3C 4G variant is priced at RMB 998 (approx. Rs 9,000) and RMB 1288 (approx. Rs 12,000) for the 8 GB and 16 GB variants respectively. These handsets are available for pre-order right from today and they will go on sale on June 5.
