Micromax A091 Canvas Engage with Android KitKat and Quad Core listed for 6,199 INR

While it has been only a couple of days since leading indigenous smartphone maker Micromax announced the launch of Micromax Unite 2 entry-level device, news about another such phone dubbed Canvas Engage A091 have started pouring in. It was already reported that the firm is prepping to launch this smartphone with a quad-core processor and Android KitKat operating system to combat the Motorola’s Moto E.

Now, solid evidence for the same has emerged as the device has been listed on e-commerce portal eBay for a tempting price tag of Rs 6,199.

Talking about the specifications, it is already pledged that the Canvas Engage A091 would come fitted with an average 4 inch display that carries a WVGA resolution of 480×800 pixels and includes a 1.2 GHZ quad-core processor of unspecified chipset. Supporting this processor is a low 512 MB of RAM that could be disappointing for many looking for acceptable levels of multi-tasking. Moreover, the main competition of this Android 4.4.2 KitKat based smartphone is the Moto E that includes 1 GB RAM to handle the multi-tasking department.

The other specifications remain pretty standard as the device boasts of 4 GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 32 GB. The camera set is comprised of a 5 MP primary snapper alongside a VGA front-facer that is responsible for basic video calls. Other goodies aboard the Micromax Canvas Engage A091 include a 1,500 mAh batter rated to deliver 5.5 hours of talk time and 200 hours of standby time and standard connectivity traits such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G and GPS along with dual SIM capability.
