Taiwan based tech firm, Acer announced has introduced a slew of devices including five smartphones, a smartband and a tablet ahead of the Computer 2014 tech show. The devices announced include Liquid E600, Liquid E700, Liquid Z200, Liquid Jade and Liquid X1 smartphones, Iconia Tab 8 and Liquid Leap smartband.

All the smartphones expect the Liquid Jade are scheduled to hit the retail shelves in Q3 2014 and run on the latest iteration of Google’s platform – Android 4.4 KitKat. The Liquid X1 is an octa-core LTE smartphone packed with powerful performance and advanced imaging capabilities. As for specifications, the handset is flaunts a 5.7 inch IPS display boasting 1280×720 pixel resolution and powered by a 1.7 GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6592 SoC supplemented by 2 GB of RAM for efficient multi-tasking.

The handset also includes 16 GB of internal storage space that can be expanded up to 32 GB via a micro SD card. The Acer Zoom Fit makes it convenient to use the handset in a single hand, AcerRapid to launch the camera quickly and AcerFloat that is a multi-tasking interface. Also, there is a 13 MP primary camera with LED flash, auto focus and FHD 1080p video recording along with a 2 MP front-facing snapper and a 2,700 mAh battery.

The Liquid E700 features a 5 inch IPS display with HD 720p resolution and is equipped with a 1.2 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor paired with Mali 400 GPU and 2 GB of RAM. For imaging, there is an 8 MP primary shooter with auto focus and LED flash and a 2 MP camera at the front with flash.

The imaging requirements are handled by 16 GB of onboard storage space that can be expanded and has a 3,500 mAh battery to power it. Also, the handset supports triple SIM that is impressive.

The Liquid E600 features a 5 inch IPS display with 480×854 pixel resolution and is fueled by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 MSM8926 SoC clocked at 1.2 GHz teamed up with Adreno 305 GPU and 1 GB of RAM. Also onboard are 4 GB of native storage space that can be expanded, 4G LTE connectivity and a 2,500 mAh battery. The rear camera is of 8 MP resolution, while that of the front-facer is not specified.

Finally, the Z200 that is claimed to be highly recommended for the first time smartphone users comes in a range of vibrant colors – Sunshine Yellow, Sky Blue, Fragrant Pink, Essential White and Titanium Black. It is a dual SIM model with a 4 inch 480×800 pixel display and 1 GHz dual-core MediaTek MT6572M chipset that is paired with a mere 512 MB of RAM. There is a 2 MP primary fixed focus camera with features including continuous shot, auto smile shot and panorama shot.

Apart from these specs, the Liquid Z200 also includes 4 GB of internal storage space that can be expanded, connectivity features such as 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS and a 1,300 mAh battery.
