Camera and Internal Storage

The Samsung Galaxy S5 with LTE-A retains the same camera capabilities as the Galaxy S5 as it features a similar 16 MP primary snapper that is accompanied with autofocus, LED flash and 4K video recording. This sensor is pretty impressive as it comes with high speed focus and delivers crisp and detailed pictures even in low lighting conditions. Also, there is a 2.1 MP front-facing camera onboard that can help in making high quality video calls. The Galaxy S5 camera impressed us in our brief testing with its features and we expect the same with the LTE-A variant as well.

The internal storage capacity of the Galaxy S5 with LTE-A is 32 GB, but this can always be expanded by up to 128 GB with the help of a micro SD card. Hence, in this regard we do not have any issues as there is enough storage capacity to meet the demands of users.

Processor and Battery

In terms of processor, the Galaxy S5 with LTE-A is enhanced as it is stuffed with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 SoC ticking at 2.5 GHz speed. Qualcomm claims that this chipset has to ability to provide support to LTE-A speeds ranging up to 300 Mbps. Also, the processor is supplemented with Adreno 420 graphics unit that can handle intense graphics and a larger 3 GB of RAM to take charge of the multi-tasking department.

The battery unit is the same as the one in the Galaxy S5 and it stands at 2,800 mAh that should be sufficient for the handset to last for long hours under moderate usage.

Display and Features

The display size of the Galaxy S5 with LTE-A is again the same 5.1 inches, but the screen resolution is not the same 1080p as it comes with the highly rumored Quad HD resolution that packs 2560×1440 pixels. Consequently, this handset will boast a high pixel density of 576 pixels per inch that is pretty much impressive.

The Galaxy S5 with LTE-A runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system and arrives with the IP67 certifications for water and dust resistance. Also, there are features such as S Health and heart rate sensor as in the Galaxy S5. Furthermore, the device that is launched in Korea will support the maximum connectivity speeds of up to 225 Mbps that is provided by SK Telecom’s LTE-A 4G service. It has to be noted that this 225 Mbps speed is three folds higher than the current maximum speed of 75 Mbps that exists in the other regions across the world.

Comparison

With these capabilities, the Galaxy S5 with LTE-A will definitely compete with LG G3, Oppo Find 7 and other flagship models such as HTC One M8.
