India based manufacturers are in the rage of launching Android 4.4 KitKat based entry-level smartphones that are priced in the sub Rs 8,000 price bracket. Following the footsteps of Micromax, Celkon and Xolo, Intex Mobiles has announced the launch of couple of smartphones – Intex Aqua i14 and Aqua N15 respectively. The smartphones are priced at Rs 7,090 and Rs 6,090 and they are aimed at delivering superior user experience to the price conscious consumer base.
In terms of technical specifications, the Intex Aqua i14 is fitted with a 5 inch IPS display that boasts of a FWVGA pixel resolution of 854×480 pixels and is stuffed with a quad-core processor ticking at 1.3 GHz clock speed and 1 GB of RAM. Furthermore, the device incorporates an 8 MP primary snapper that is teamed up with features such as panorama shot, air shuffle, continuous shot and face beauty. Also, there is a 2 MP front-facing snapper at the front that handles capturing of self portrait shots and video calling.
Also onboard are 4 GB of internal storage space of which only 1.26 GB is user accessible. This low storage space can be expanded up to 32 GB by means of a micro SD card. The handset supports 3G, Bluetooth, GPS and Wi-Fi connectivity features and draws power from 1,850 mAh battery that is expected to pump in a decent backup.
On the other hand, the Intex Aqua N15 smartphone arrives with similar camera, processor, RAM, camera, storage and connectivity needs. Otherwise, the handset features a 4 inch IPS display panel that packs a resolution of 854×480 pixels.
It has to be noted that the IPS panels will provide crystal clear quality rendering colors and minute details at great precision. Also, the camera sensors onboard are claimed to deliver exceptional picture quality to enhance the user experience.
