As expected, BlackBerry Z3 has been officially launched in India for 15,990 INR. The Smartphone will be available for Pre-Book on Flipkart, BlackBerry Stores and TheMobileStore, from today till June 2nd 2014. The BlackBerry Z3 has been tailor made for markets like India and Indonesia, where BlackBerry still retains brand loyalty and sales volume, as part of its survival strategy.
BlackBerry Z3 sports a 5 inch display with not so great qHD 960 x 540 resolution. The 220 PPI display will be a windows to BB10 Operating system which also supports Android apps.
The processor employed is Qualcomm 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 400 dual core, coupled with 1.5 GB RAM and 8 GB internal storage. MicroSD support is also present to conveniently store your media files and other data.
Imaging hardware includes a 5 MP rear camera and a 1.1 MP shooter for video calling and selfies. The rear camera can record full HD 1080P videos where as the front shooter can record 720P HD videos for High Definition vedio chat. BlackBerry also highlighted Time Shift and Story Maker, which works as smile detector and can combine photos to tell a story.
The BlackBerry Z3 has been manufactured by Foxconn, the same company which manufactures iPhones for Apple. It holds a 2500 mAh battery inside along with the usual set of connectivity features. The company has also launched BlackBerry Maps on Z3 for the first time in India.
