Following the same, Sony acknowledged these problems and released a statement suggesting that it will push software patch that will fix the bugs. Now, the smartphone trio has received the Android 4.4.4 KitKat update that has been released lately by Google.

The company has taken it on Twitter by posting a tweet reading, “and Android 4.4.4; KitKat rolling (phased) for #XperiaZ1, #ZUltra & #Z1Compact – app improvements, camera tweaks, security updates & more!” However, it will definitely take a while for the vendor to roll out the update across the global markets as it is carried out in phases. Anyways, those owning any of these three devices can always check for the update manually by heading on to Settings >> About phone >> Check for Update.
