The display is 3.5 inches in size and features 320 x 480p HVGA resolution. Software is Android 4.2 jelly bean and is upgradeable to Android KitKat. Maxx Mobiles has provided with a 1 GHz Dual core chipset coupled with 512 MB RAM and 4GB internal storage.

You will get an 8 GB microSD card bundled with the device and you can use it to store media files. The chipset sounds above average in this price range. Imaging hardware includes a 3.2 MP rear camera with LED flash support and a basic VGA front camera.

Battery capacity sounds disappointing at 1200 mAh. Other features include Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth v4.0 and preloaded apps like MAXX World, MAXX life Box, MAXX Care, MAXX New Launch, Getit, Hungama, Office Suite, Opera Mini, OLX, Flipkart, WeChat launcher.

The basic Android phone doesn’t sound impressive. Maxx Mobile has tried to bundle top specs on paper in this price range, but until it’s based on power efficient Andorid L or KitKat, the user experience isn’t expected to be as smooth. You can buy Maxx AX356 from Infibeam and other retailers for Rs. 3,696
