India based vendor Spice Mobiles was in the headlines last week for the launch of the Android KitKat based smartphone Stellar Mi-600. Now, the retailer has launched another smartphone in the entry-level market segment called Stellar 445. The handset is priced at Rs 5,299 and it will be made available for sale starting from this week.
Detailing on its specifications, the Spice Stellar 445 is given a 4 inch WVGA display that boasts of a screen resolution of 480×800 pixels. Powering the device from within is a quad-core Snapdragon processor that is clocked at 1.2 GHz paired with a mere 512 MB of RAM. The handset runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and it bundles 4 GB of default storage space that can be extended externally by another 32 GB by means of a micro SD card. In addition, Spice also provides 2 GB of Spice Cloud storage space for free and this could be handy in backing up significant content.
For imaging, the device features a 3.2 MP primary camera that lacks the presence of LED flash for better low light performance and it is teamed up with a 1.3 MP front-facer. There are connectivity features such as 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and dual SIM functionality and a 1,500 mAh battery of unknown backup.
Apart from technical specs, the Spice Stellar 445 features Snapdragon audio+ Technology for an enhanced audio output and supports numerous Indian languages such as Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Marathi and Bangla along with English. The Swift Keyboard app is also pre-loaded in the handset.
