LG G3 with QHD 1440p Display Arrives in India Starting from 47,990 INR

Finally, LG has announced the release of its flagship smartphone LG G3 in India today at an event in Mumbai. As claimed before, the handset is endorsed by the Bollywood Superstar Amitabh Bachchan. It is priced at Rs 47,990 for the 16 GB variant and Rs 50,.990 for the 32 GB variant. Along with the these two variants, LG is also releasing a 15,000 units of the limited edition G3 smartphone featuring the signature of Amitabh Bachchan.

The specifications of the handsets are pretty charming as it comes with a 5.5 inch IPS display that boasts an impressive QHD screen resolution of 2560×1440 pixels translating to a pixel density of 538 ppi. Fueled by Android 4.4.2 KitKat, the device includes a 2.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 chipset paired with Adreno 330 graphics engine.

As mentioned above, there are two variants of the G3 – one with 16 GB of native storage with 2 GB of RAM and the other with 32 GB of internal storage capacity with 3 GB of RAM. Both these variants come with an expandable micro SD card slot supporting up to 128 GB of additional storage.

For imaging, the LG G3 features a 13 MP primary snapper that is teamed up with OIS, dual LED flash, auto focus and 4K video shooting capabilities. This is paired with a 2.1 MP front-facer that can click gorgeous self portrait shots and quality video calls. Other goodies onboard are 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Blueooth 4.0, GPS, NFC, SlimPort and a 3,000 mAh battery supporting Qiwireless charging.

On the software front, the LG G3 comes packed with features such as Smart Keyboard, Smart Notice, Knock Code, Guest Mode and more. Similar to its predecessor, the handset has high power 1W Hi-Fi sound delivering deep bass and clear treble.

The device comes in a slew of vibrant color options including Metallic Black, Silk White and Gold Shine. Furthermore, the firm offers a discount of Rs 5,000 on the G Watch, QuickCircle case costing Rs 3,500 and a one time screen replacement worth Rs 6,500 for those consumers purchasing the G3.
