Indigenous handset vendor Spice is on a launch spree lately as the firm is releasing more and more devices into the market. Today, the vendor has launched two more smartphones that are available for sale via online retailer Saholic. These smartphones are dubbed Stellar 497 and Stellar 361 and they are priced at Rs 5,999 and Rs 3,699 respecttively.
The Stellar 497 is an advanced offering in the duo as it is based on Android 4.4 KitKat OS and runs on a quad-core processor ticking at 1.2 GHz clock speed. The handset features a 4.5 inch IPS display that boasts of a resolution of 854×480 pixels and features a 3.2 MP primary snapper with LED flash and a 2 MP front-facer. The handset has connectivity features such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G and GPS and incorporates a 1,650 mAh battery.
On the other hand, the Stellar 361 includes a 3.5 inch display with a resolution of 480×320 pixels and employs a 1 GHz dual-core processor supplemented with 256 MB of RAM. The handset packs a 2 MP main camera with LED flash and a 1.3 MP front-facing snapper. With similar connectivity features as the Stellar 497, this handset packs a 1,400 mAh battery and meager 512 MB of internal storage space that can be expanded up to 32 GB.
The Stellar 497 will definitely be a stiff competitor to the KitKat based entry-level handsets including the best selling Moto E, but the Stellar 361 is definitely a weak challenger as it packs a paltry internal storage space and RAM capacity along with a dated OS.
