For quite sometime, Panasonic was teased to launch its Eluga smartphones in India this month. Now, the vendor the Panasonic Eluga U smartphone is available via the online retailer eBay for a price of Rs 17,490. On the other hand, the entrusted source @MaheshTelecom has claimed that the handset will be available for Rs 18,590 while it is priced at Rs 20,990 and will start retailing from tomorrow.

Talking of specifications, the Panasonic Eluga U is fitted with a 5 inch HD IPS OGS display with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels layered with the Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Running on Android 4.4 KitKat, the handset is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor that is supplemented with a powerful 2 GB RAM and Adreno 305 graphics unit.

On the imaging segment, the phone packs a 13 MP primary snapper that is teamed up with LED flash for enhanced performance under low ambient light conditions and FHD 1080p video recording. This camera is paired with a front-facing 2 MP shooter that can make video calls and click self portrait shots.

Furthermore, the Panasonic Eluga U features an impressive 16 GB of internal storage capacity that can be expanded up to 32 GB with the help of a micro SD card. Other goodies onboard include 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS for seamless connectivity and a 2,500 mAh battery.

On the software front, the smartphones comes with a slew of features such as Kwik Lock that will lock the device on double tapping on the home screen, Fit Home UI for a convenient single handed operation, Gesture Play, Pop i Player and Music Café.
