Samsung has announced the launch of a slew of smartphones officially into the India market and the list includes the Galaxy Star 2, Star Advance and Ace NXT. The trio is based on Android 4.4 KitKat operating system topped with Samsung’s TouchWiz Essence UI. Also, the handsets include support for 12 Indian languages for an enhanced user experience.
In terms of specifications, the Galaxy Star 2 arrives with a 3.5 inch display with 320×480 pixels and is powered by a 1 GHz single-core processor paired with 512 MB of RAM. Furthermore, there is a 2 MP primary snapper onboard along with 4 GB of internal storage space that can be expanded externally up to 32 GB. There is a 1,300 mAh battery energizing this smartphone with connectivity features such as 2G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
The Galaxy Star Advance arrives with a 4.3 inch LCD display with a WVGA resolution of 480×800 pixels and a 1.2 GHz dual-core chipset teamed up with a 512 MB of RAM. While the storage features remain the same as in the Galaxy Star 2, this device has 3G and GPS connectivity as well and included a 1,800 mAh battery.
Finally, the Galaxy Ace NXT that went on sale online lately features a 4 inch WVGA display with a similar processor, storage and connectivity aspects as the Galaxy Star Advance. However, the 3 MP primary camera is teamed up with LED flash for a better performance and there is a 1,500 mAh battery under its hood.
When it comes to the pricing front, Galaxy Star 2 costs Rs 5,100, while both Galaxy Star Advance and Galaxy Ace NXT are priced at Rs 7,400 respectively. Interestingly, these smartphones are bundled with 200 MB of free data per month for Vodafone users for six months.
