Update: Nokia Lumia 730 will officially launch on September 4 at IFA 2014
First set of leaked images for Microsoft’s upcoming smartphone “Nokia Lumia 730” Codenamed superman have been spotted online. Lumia 730 will allegedly be a selfie focused smartphone which Stephen Elop showcased at company’s internal meet few weeks back.
As you can see in the images the phone follows the familiar Lumia series design language and the leak source further mentions a 4.7 inch HD display. The highlighted selfie cam will have a 5 MP sensor and we can expect Nokia to bundle some cool software to make it a super selfie camera phone.
The images also reveal the successor of Lumia 720 running on a yet unannounced Lumia Debian Red’ version of Windows Phone, which according to WP Central could be codename for the next Windows Phone 8.1 update after Lumia Cyan. Other rumored specifications include 1 GB RAM, Snapdragon 400 quad core and 8 GB internal storage.
Microsoft recently discontinued Lumia 1020, a smartphone which set benchmarks for all smartphone rear cameras but failed to be hit on cash registers. We all know how good Nokia has been with smartphone Cameras and camera software, and with selfie lovers increasing exponentially around the globe the phone is expected to be very well received.
