iBall Andi 5K Panther with 5 Inch display, Octa Core and Kitkat at 10,499 INR

Octa core phones are sure becoming a common sight around 10k price range and the latest addition to the list is iBall Andi 5K Panther which employs 1.4 GHz octa core MT6592M chipset besides other conventional set of hardware.

The display is 5 inches in size, and won’t be the sharpest one around with 960 x 540 qHD resolution amounting to 220 pixels per inches. Software is latest Android 4.4 Kitkat for some great android experience.

The Mediatek true octa core SoC also incorporates 1 GB RAM, 8 GB internal storage and MicroSD card support up to 32 GB. Based on the chipset humming inside, it will rival the likes of Wammy Passion Youth Neo, Obi Octopus S520 and HTC Desire 816 scattered in the mid range price segment.

Imaging hardware includes an 8 MP auto focus rear shooter coupled with LED flash for low light photography and a 2 MP front facing shooter for basic video calling. The imaging hardware is standard in this price range.


Connectivity features include 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Micro-USB, GPRS/EDGE, GPS/ A-GPS and Micro-USB. iBall Andi 5K Panther houses a 1900 mAh battery which should suffice for basic usage.

iBall Andi 5K Panther shares conventional octa core specifications and will try to grab its market share from an area dominated by phones like Moto G and Zenfone 5, which isn’t a mean task.
