iBerry Auxus Note 5.5 Quick Review, Price and Comparison

iBerry has launched its Note Moniker challenger, iBerry Auxus Note 5.5, which will definitely draw attention thanks to the finger print scanner on board. But this is not the only ace it packs. The phone has Redmi Note like red capacitive keys and will retail exclusively on ebay starting 21 August. Getting down from the fingerprint scanner high horse, let’s take a look at what else iBerry’s Note 5.5 is offering.

Camera and Internal storage

iBerry has provided with a 13 MP rear shooter with LED flash support at the back, where as there is something for Selfie lovers too. The phone boast of an 8 MP front shooter as well for detailed selfies. Camera quality isn’t completely dependent on MegaPixel count but decent amount of pixels will add details to clicked images.

Internal storage is ample 16 GB and can be further expanded to 64 GB using MicroSD card support. This sure sounds like enough storage for everyone.

Processor and Battery

The processor used is MT6592 Octa core with 8 cortex A7 cores clocked at 1.7 GHz. The processor is aided by 2 GB RAM and Mali 450 MP4 GPU clocked at 700 GHz. Octa core processors are becoming quite common in 10k to 15k range, but the SoC is in no way a slouch. We expect this to suffice for heavy usage.

Battery capacity is 3200 mAh but iBerry hasn’t provided with any battery backup stats. Considering the MT6592 chipset and 5.5 Inch HD display, the battery seems to pack enough juice for one day moderate usage.

Display and Other Features

The display is 5.5 inches in size with 720p HD resolution amounting to average 267 pixels per inches. The display is IPS LCD OGS display which means you can expect good viewing angles and decent brightness. The display also uses Gorilla Glass Protection on top (might not be Gorilla Glass 3).

The software is Android 4.4 Kitkat which will provide with good android experience. You will also get NFC, USB OTG, 3G, WiFi and Micro USB connectivity options with iBerry Auxus Note 5.5.

The highlighted feature is ofcourse the unexpected finger print scanner. We are not big fans of finger print scanners we have seen so far. If it’s used for unlocking only, we don’t see ourselves using this feature in day to day usage, but it sure qualifies as a great marketing feature.

Comparison

iBerry Auxus Note 5.5 will compete with big-guns like Xiaomi Mi3, Xiaomi Redmi Note, Zenfone 5, Xolo 8X-1000, Karbonn Titanium Octane Plus and OBI Octopus S520.
