One of the top five smartphone makers in India, Lava appears to be having serious plans to grab a significant share of the smartphone market with the launch of numerous solid offerings. While the Lava Iris X1 smartphone is only a few months old and a direct competitor to the best selling Moto E, it appears like the firm is prepping to launch its successor soon.
Well, the Iris X5 smartphone was spotted by GizBot in the import/export tracking website Zauba. According to this database, Lava has shipped 20 units of this smartphone to India and the handsets are priced at Rs 5,664.
As far as the specifications are concerned, the listing claims that the Lava Iris X5 will arrive with a 5 inch display and feature 8 GB of internal storage space with dual SIM functionality. Apart from these aspects, the other details regarding the handset or its pictures remain unknown.
From the alleged moniker Iris X5, it appears like the smartphone will borrow the design and looks from its predecessor – Iris X1. Being a low priced handset, the handset is likely to arrive with Android KitKat operating system and marginal enhancements as compared to its predecessor.
