Following the launch of its octa-core smartphone dubbed Alcatel One Touch Idol X+, the firm has come up with a slew of handsets. On Wednesday, the vendor has announced the launch of the One Touch Hero phablet and a series of Idol devices such as Idol X, Idol S and Idol mini.
Detailing the specifications of the One Touch Hero, the high-end smartphone flaunts an enormous 6 inch FHD display with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. Like the other handsets with such large displays, this one also supports a stylus for easier operation. The handset comes equipped with a 1.5 GHz quad-core Mediatek MT6589 processor paired with 2 GB of RAM. There is 16 GB of internal storage space that can be expanded externally by another 32 GB with the help of a micro SD card. Other goodies onboard include a 3,400 mAh battery, a 13 MP primary snapper and a 2 MP front-facing selfie camera.
Coming to the Idol series smartphones, the Idol X features a 5 inch edge-to-edge FHD display and quad-core MediaTek MT6589 processor clocked at 1.2 GHz. There is a 13 MP primary camera and a 2,000 mAh battery onboard.
The Idol S features a 4.7 inch HD display and comes with 1 GB of RAM and 4 GB of expandable internal storage space. Also, there is an 8 MP primary snapper along with a 1.3 MP front-facer.
The low-end Idol Mini comes with a 4.3 inch FWVGA display with 512 MB of RAM and a standard 4 GB of expandable storage capacity. Other goodies include a 5 MP primary camera and a VGA front-facer for making basic video calls.
These Idol series handsets are priced starting from Rs 10,000 and the One Touch Hero is priced at Rs 30,000.
