After iBall Andi 5K Panther, iBall has launched another Octa core smartphone, Andi 5S Cobalt 3 with 1.7 GHz MT6592 chipset priced at 12,499 INR. This is one of the most competitive price segment in Indian market, with several other octa core devices lingering to make their mark. Is iBall Andi 5S Cobalt 3 any different?

The display is 5 inches in size and is associated with IPS LCD and OGS technology for better viewing experience. Although it won’t fly, Cobalt 3 does scores some points in design department with aerodynamic design- Gradually slimming down while progressing towards bottom edge.

The MT6592 octa core chipset with 8 Cortex A7 cores clocked at 1.7 GHz is aided by 1 GB RAM and 8 GB internal storage. The storage is expandable by another 32 GB using MicroSD card support. The phone also runs on latest Android 4.4 kitkat at the software front.

Photography enthusiasts can look forward to a 12 MP rear camera coupled with LED flash and assisted by a 2.1 MP front shooter. Battery capacity is 2200 mAh which looks decent enough on paper.


iBall has tried to check all boxes with this device and has also been innovative with the peculiar body design. The device looks capable enough to handle most of your day to day. iBall Andi 5S Cobalt 3 will start retailing soon for 12,499 INR in India.
