The wait is over. Registration for Xiaomi Redmi 1S starts today 6 PM and to further sweeten the pot, Xiaomi Redmi 1S will be available for a jaw dropping price of 5,999 INR only, which is 1K less than what was earlier announced.

The first sales day is on 2nd September and even though Xiaomi has beefed up the stock for Xiaomi Redmi 1S, we can expect the Mi3 story to repeat itself. Timely register for the sales and expect the device to run out of stock within seconds.

Xiaomi Redmi 1S offers some serious value for money at 5,999 INR, with 4.7 inch 720 p HD, 312 PPI IPS LCD display powered by 1.6 GHz Quad core snapdragon 400 chipset aided by Adreno 305 GPU.

The Processor is aided by 1 GB RAM and 8 GB internal storage which can be further expanded by another 64 GB using MicroSD card slot. The Dual SIM device has an impressive 8 MP rear shooter with large 1.4 micrometer pixel size, 28 mm wide angle lens and f/2.2 aperture. A front 1.6 MP unit is also present for video calling.

Software is Android 4.3 jelly bean loaded with feature rich MIUI on top. Our first impressions of Xiaomi Redmi 1S were positive. Needless to say, the phone will be the hottest value for money device in it’s price bracket.
