Sony has also announced, Xperia Z3 Compact, the compact variant of its latest flagship phone at IFA 2014. Continuing with its “Compact” series traditions, Sony has tried to bundle high end hardware in the mini sized variant as well.

The display size is 4.6 inches whereas the Display resolution takes a hit with 720p HD resolution on board. On the inside it has the same 2.5 GHz quad core Snapdragon 801 processor with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage. MicroSD expansion up to 128 GB is also an option.

The 20.7 MP Exmos RS sensor with 4K video recording capability, along with the front 2.2 MP front snapper have made the cut to the mini variant as well. Fueled by Androd 4.4.4 Kitkat based customized ROM, the phone flaunts IP58 water and dust resistant certification like all Xperia high end devices.

Other features include dual front facing speakers, 4G LTE / 3G, WiFi 820.11 a/b/g/n/ac , Bluetooth 4.0 with APT-X, GPS/ GLONASS, MHL,NFC, advanced Noise cancellation and a 2600 mAh battery.
