Nokia has unveiled Lumia 730 and 735 at IFA in Berlin. Lumia devices are very well known for their superior Imaging hardware, and this one focuses on Selfies. The 730 will be a replacement for aging Lumia 720 while Lumia 735 will be the LTE variant.
Nokia is marketing this as a Selfie centric device. The selfie camera has a 5 MP shooter similar to what we saw in Xperia C3, the parallel Selfie Centric Android offering. But since it’s a Lumia, you won’t be off track expecting a cool Camera App coupled with it. Both front and rear camera’s can record full HD videos, while LED flash is present only for rear shooter.
Lumia 730 introduces a Selfie Camera App with several editing tools including filters, which can also be used with the primary 6.7 MP camera. Like always, this new app will be transferred to other Lumia devices with future software updates.
Priced at 199 Euros, Lumia 730 is a mid range smartphone with a 4.7 Inch 720P HD ClearBlack display. Chipset used is 1.2 GHz quad core Snapdragon 400 chipset aided with 1 GB RAM and 8 GB internal storage. The Lumia Denim update which Brings folders and secure networking come preloaded on this device.
Based on Windows Phone 8.1, the Lumia 730 will be powered by a 2220 mAh battery. The smartphone will be a decent Lumia mid range offering for those who prioritize Selfies. Microsoft is also offering 3 months of free calls on Skype and 15 GB Free One Drive storage.
