iBall Andi 4.5M Enigma, is the latest addition to iBall’s budget quad core portfolio. Priced at 8,499 INR, the humble offering from domestic manufacture will have to compete in troubled waters with some big names. Let’s see if it’s up for the task.
The display is 4.5 inches in size with ample 960 x 540 pixels (qHD) amounting to 245 pixels per inches. Powered by ubiquitous MT6582 quad core clocked at 1.3 GHz, with 1 GB RAM and 8 GB internal storage. You can further expand it by another 32 GB using MicroSD.
13 MP primary camera at the rear is something unique in this price range. The Megapixel count is hardly a viable parameter to judge camera quality, but that’s certainly exciting. Front camera is no slouch either. There is an 8 MP front shooter with 88 degree wide angle lens.
Software is Android 4.4 Kitkat and iBall some other admirable feature at this price point include USB OTG and NFC. The battery capacity however doesn’t sound very high at 1500 mAh. Other features include 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS and Dual SIM connectivity.
iBall Andi 4.5 Enigma tries to add the best possible hardware at a competitive price. It looks like a good proposition on paper, but a bigger battery would have been so much better. It will compete with the likes of Zenfone 5, Nokia X2 and Xiaomi Redmi 1S in India.
