The entry-level smartphone market in India is witnessing many new launches as the consumers are seeking reasonably priced devices with impressive specifications. Lately, many manufacturers are stacking their offerings in this category to lure the consumers concerned about the price tag. Over the weekend, Salora International launched Arya Z2 with the same intention. Let’s see how this new phone competes with XonPhone 5.
Display and Processor
The display in both the smartphones are quite similar with 5 inch panels boasting HD screen resolution of 1280×720 pixels. They use IPS and OGS technologies to render vivid content, good viewing angles and responsive screens. Also, in our hands-on, both the screens were good with enough brightness and color reproduction making them exceptional offerings in the entry-level market segment.
In terms of raw hardware, the Arya Z2 is stuffed with a quad-core MediaTek 6582A processor that is backed by 1 GB of RAM. Going by comparison, the XonPhone 5 uses a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor that is also teamed up with 1 GB of RAM. Both the processors should be adequate enough for delivering a decent performance and would be suitable for first time Android users.
