Videocon has introduced Infinium Z40 quad, priced at 5,490 INR, and is marketing it as a Selfie focused smartphone. The front facing camera is no longer an afterthought for smartphone manufacturers and we are seeing a steady stream of selfie centric phones since last couple of months.
For selfies, the Infinium Z40 quad has a modest 3.2 MP front shooter coupled with 5 MP rear snapper with LED flash support. As the name suggests, it’s a quad core smartphone employing Mediatek MT6582 at 1.3 GHz. In line with the price tag, Videocon is offering 512 MB RAM and 4 GB internal storage (expandable up to 32 GB). Software is latest Android 4.4 Kitkat.

The display is 4 inches in size with usable WVGA resolution. Other features include 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS and a 1400 mAh battery. The Videocon Infinium Z40 quad is a basic quad core entry level smartphone with standard hardware.
