After playing footsie for a while, Google has finally made Nexus 6 official confirming all rumors and leaks originated in the wild. And Yes, the new Android is labeled Android 5.0 Lollipop. The Nexus 6 will be up for pre order starting October 29 starting for $569 and will be available starting November 9.
It does indeed look like an inflated Moto X 2014 and just to make it more explicit has a similar metallic side frame, AMOLED display, a circular flash ring and a dimpled Motorola logo.
The 6 inch AMOLED display features Quad HD 2560 x 1440 resolution (469 ppi) and will be powered by best in business Snapdragon 805 clocked at 2.7 GHz with Krait 450 cores and Adreno 420, backed by 3 GB RAM and 32 GB/ 64 GB internal storage options. As expected, there is no MicroSD card slot.
There is a 13 MP rear camera with F/2.0 wide aperture and dual LED falsh. There are 2 stereo speakers at the front and a 2 MP front camera for selfies and video calling.
Like always, the 3220 battery inside is non removable. Google promises comfortable 24 hours of usage. With turbo charger, you can have 6 hours worth of charge with only 15 minutes of charging. For those who like a compact smartphone, Google won’t stop selling Nexus 5 which will soon receive Android L upgrade.
