Domestic manufacturers have developed a keen liking for ‘One’ moniker for reasons obvious. Close on the heels of Xolo One, Celkon has launched its Celkon Campus One, but this is one is an entry level smartphone offering bare minimum Android privileges at 2599 INR. once again, this is not an Android One phone.
The specifications are quite standard. There is a 3.5 Inch display with HVGA resolution powered by 1 GHz single core SC6815 chipset with 256 MB RAM and 512 MB expandable internal storage. Up to 32 GB MicroSD card is supported. Software is Android 4.4 KitKat.
Like everything else, imaging hardware is also fairly basic with 2 MP rear camera and VGA front camera. Dual LED flash is present to assist low light photography. A 1200 mAh battery, with 4 hours of talk time and 300 hours of standby time, has been housed inside.
3G connectivity is missing, but you can avail internet over 2G and WiFi. Other features include Bluetooth, MicroUSB and GPRS. Overall, Celkon Campus One is meant for first time users switching from feature phones and looking for basic Android experience. You get to choose from several color options including White, Blue, Red, Yellow, Dark Blue and Green.
