HTC One M8 Eye Replaces UltraPixels camera with a 13 MP Camera at 38,990 INR

HTC One M8 Eye is the new variant of HTC One M8 which swaps the Ultrapixel rear camera with a more mainstream 13 MP shooter has been launched in India for 38,990 INR. Do not confuse it with HTC Desire Eye which was launched recently and did have an eye like 13 MP front camera. This one is the exact same HTC One M8, just with a different rear camera.

The brushed metal curved metal back is still adorned with Duo-Cam feature, which employs a separate IR Camera for depth sensing. This can be used to refocus images even after they have been shot.

The 13 MP shooter with f/ 2.0 aperture and 28 mm lens is what several users have been clamoring for in place of HTC 4 MP Ultra pixel camera which has large pixel size to capture more light in low light conditions. The performance wasn’t well matched to what other flagships are offering.

Front side is the same 5 Inch full HD SLCD3 excellent display flanked by HTC Boom Sound dual frontal speakers and protected by Gorilla Glass 3 layered on top. The HTC One M8 Eye is powered by 2.5 GHz quad core Snapdragon 805 SoC backed by Adreno 330 GPU and 2 GB RAM.


Internal storage is 16 GB with 128 GB MicroSD support. Other features include a 5 MP front camera capable of full HD video recording, IR blaster, 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 a/ac/b/g/n (2.4 and 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.0 with aptX codec, and GPS with GLONASS and a 2600 mAh batteryHTC Eye experience which includes front camera features like face tracking, split capture etc will are also included.

The original HTC One M8 16 GB is also selling for around the same price. You can buy HTC One M8 Eye in Gunmetal Gray and Glacial Silver colors priced at Rs. 38,900, starting next week.
